You are vital to the success of the school. Schools are becoming more and more dependent on their PTAs for funds. With school budgets being squeezed, funds raised through the PTA directly impact the enrichment of our children at the school. Find out where PTA funds have been spent here:
Your voice matters – the PTA is made up of people elected to represent you. Your ideas and involvement can help improve the quality of education for all the children at our school. Here are ways you can get involved with the PTA:
Join the PTA Committee:
Being part of the committee requires a consistent commitment for at least 12 months (ideally running on the school year calendar). The committee has formal roles i.e. Treasurer (required for being a registered charity), and importantly sets the agenda for the year and decides on funding requests. While it is ongoing, this is NOT a big scary commitment, and your input has direct value. Most committee members work full-time and are all mums and dads at the school. Meetings are usually once per term. Speak to one of the committee or email us to find out more.
Help to Run an Event:
Events like our annual Bonfire Night, Winter and Summer Fairs are vital fundraisers. Join a specific event and get involved in putting it on! Leading or being involved in an event committee is perfect if you have less ongoing time to commit, and you’re great with making things happen. It’s very rewarding and lots of fun.
Second Hand Uniform Sales:
We’re looking for volunteers to take over our second-hand uniform sales. We have an online platform and run regular pop-up sales in the school playground. If this sounds like you, please let us know!
Volunteer a Skill:
Make a difference! Use whatever skills you have to support our wonderful school and community. Whatever it is, we might need it! Web design / Event management / BBQ expert / DJ / Photographer – we’d be delighted to hear from you.
Sponsorship:
If you or your business can offer sponsorship in any way – let us know!
